Getting Organized!

You can probably imagine that finding the perfect piece for your key models can be quite difficult when you are searching through so many boxes of LEGOS. We had sorted through boxes before, but it was still in need of some organization, so that finding that 3 by 1 green brick with the 42 degree slanted edge would be easier to find in the long run. (Ok, I'm not sure that piece actually exists, but I wouldn't be surprised) I've got to admit...this part was pretty fun.

Key models are in!

After our team pitch and boards were in, it was time to hand in our key models. These should give a good idea of the look and feel of our short films.

Thanks for visiting SCAD-Atlanta LEGOfilms!

We are a group of LEGO-mators at Savannah College of Art and Design - Atlanta Campus, taking either Experimental Animation(ANIM426) or Directed Projects in Animation I (ANIM762). We have the opportunity of working with real clients to create short films using these nostalgic building blocks...and it is AWESOME! So we thought that we would share this experience.

We have grouped into pairs and are now getting into the execution stage. I'll try to catch you up, but in the meantime, take a look at who is involved:

Erin Burke
Dawn Meredith
John-Michael Kirkconnell
Kyle Parker

Jessica Esparza
Kyle Marcano
Kaona McGowan (me)
John McLaughlin
Marc Scott

...and of course, the lovely Professor Becky Wible Searles, Professor of Animation, Graduate Coordinator for ANIM, ITGM, MOME, and VSFX

Please check back for updates. It is definitely interesting to watch the progress!
